The task of this semester-long branding project was to create a fictional resort. My idea takes place around the year 3000, after America has depleted its natural resources. This sanctuary will be a way for people to experience and preserve the sustainable ways of 1950s farm life and learn how to revive organic agriculture in a desolate world. The name Anastatica comes from the scientific identification of the Rose of Jericho, the resurrection plant.

Package Design

Each guest will leave with their own Resurrection Plant as a reminder of their experience at the resort. The hexagon box opens and folds out in the same way that the Rose of Jericho uncurls itself when it finds water.

Commercial Storyboard

Walk through a day in the life of an Anastatica guest. Hear the crunch of boots on rich earth, a moo and the clank of cow bells, the creak of a porch swing swaying. Finish the day with an entirely organic meal, hand picked by fellow guests. See a timelapse of the Rose of Jericho coming back to life, and end with an aerial view of the resort's preservation dome in the middle of the Great North American Desert.
